1. Mother’s Day Los Angeles – Spa Day

If you really want to treat your mom to a day of relaxation, LA’s got some luxurious spas. She’ll be so relaxed and in complete bliss.

  • The Spa at Four Seasons Los Angeles – If you’re ready to go all-out, book her a day here. The treatments are top-notch, and the vibe is super tranquil. She’ll feel like a queen with every massage, facial, and body treatment. It’s pure luxury. My husband booked me a night here not too long ago. It was a lovely day and evening of reset and on the second day my husband and children joined me for a fun pool afternoon.
  • Burke Williams Spa – A little more affordable than the Four Seasons, but still fancy, Burke Williams has some wonderful services like their signature massages and facials.  Spending a spa day here is truly wonderful. I love having a massage or a facial and a long relax in the hot tub with my book.
  • The Ritz-Carlton Spa – For that next-level experience, you can’t beat The Ritz. Every treatment is designed to make her feel like she’s at the ultimate zen retreat. Plus, the atmosphere is gorgeous.

2. Fun Things to Do Out and About in LA

If your mom’s the kind of person who’d rather experience something new and fun, LA has so many activities that are way more memorable than just a gift.

  • Private Tour at The Getty – This place is gorgeous. You get amazing art, beautiful views, and tons of history. A private tour will make her feel like she’s living the high life while learning something new.
  • Helicopter Tour Over LA – If you want to go BIG and your mom is the adventurous type, take her on a helicopter ride over the city.  It’ll definitely be an unforgettable experience.
  • Afternoon Tea at Huntington Gardens – This one’s perfect if your mom’s a nature lover (or just loves to eat). After strolling through the beautiful gardens, you can sit down for some tea and treats. It’s all about relaxation and enjoying the good stuff in life.

3. Mother’s Day Los Angeles – Shopping Spree

If your mom is all about fashion and loves a good shopping spree, LA has so many places to go have a fun day shopping, a spot of lunch and an all around great, fun day!

  • Rodeo Drive – This one’s a no-brainer if you want to go all out. You’ll find all the designer shops here, from Chanel to Louis Vuitton. Your mom will feel like a VIP while picking up something super chic.
  • The Grove – If you want to keep it a little more laid-back but still stylish, The Grove is the place to be. You can do some shopping, grab a bite to eat, and people-watch. It’s a pretty fun vibe, especially with all the cute shops and outdoor atmosphere.  I’ve loved this place ever since I moved to LA from the UK 17 years ago!  It never loses it’s charm.  This is the place I always take my family when they visit LA, and my mom and I always love to have a nice meal here and a stroll around the fountain.
  • Melrose Avenue – If your mom loves quirky, one-of-a-kind finds, head over to Melrose. There are so many cool little boutiques with vintage clothes, handmade jewelry, and unique home decor. She’ll find something she won’tfind anywhere else!

4. Subscription Services for the Gift That Keeps Giving

If you want to get her something she can enjoy for more than just one day, then a subscription service is a fab idea—and it’ll keep giving long after Mother’s Day.

  • Flower Subscriptions – LA has some amazing florists that will deliver beautiful arrangements right to her door. Places like Bougainvillea or the Los Angeles Flower District. Your mom will love having a fresh bouquet every month!
  • Gourmet Food or Wine Subscription – For the foodie mom, look at Wine Awesomeness or Mouth.com, which sends curated gourmet treats or wine right to her door.

5. Handmade & One-of-a-Kind Gifts

Nothing says “I love you” like something handmade, right? LA is full of talented local artists, and getting your mom something unique would be a perfect, thoughtful Mother’s Day gift.

  • Handmade Jewelry from the Arts District – If your mom loves a good piece of jewelry, check out the Arts District. You’ll find gorgeous, handmade pieces that can be customized.
  • Custom Art from LA Artists – Commission a custom painting or drawing from an LA artist. It could be a family portrait, a picture of her favorite spot in LA, or something abstract that feels totally “her.”
  • Handmade Candles – I’m sure most of us love gorgeous, smelling candles right?  They add that lovely, cosy, homely feel to our homes.  Getting your mom a handmade candle from local LA brands like P.F. Candle Co. is a great way to add a personal touch. These candles are beautifully crafted and smell amazing!

6. Mother’s Day Los Angeles – Brunch Spots

A Mother’s Day brunch in LA is a must. Good food, good vibes, and making memories together. Here are a few places to book for a fab brunch.

  • The Ivy – This Beverly Hills spot is famous for a reason. It’s chic and the food is amazing. You can get dressed up and feel fancy.
  • Republique – If your mom’s into French food and cool architecture, Republique in downtown LA is perfect. You’ll love the fresh pastries, the breakfast options are delicious, and the vibe is stylish but relaxed.
  • Gjelina – For a more laid-back brunch, Gjelina in Venice is an absolute winner. The food is fresh, the setting is beautiful, and you can even take a post-brunch stroll down to the beach.
