The Newborn & Baby Experience
Those tiny toes, and little hands, soon your little newborn is giggling, then sitting, then crawling and walking. That first year is so unbelievably special, all the years are, but that first one seems to fly by in the blink of an eye as they grow so quickly. Let me capture this incredibly special time for you, with images to adore for the rest of your life. You can sit back and relax while I gently work with your gorgeous newborn bundle photographing them in stunningly beautiful poses and placing them in gorgeous little props, images that in years and years to come will always belong on your walls and in your coffee table album.

I will then follow up with an email to answer any of your questions, send you additional information on the collections I offer, and some date options I have available around the rough date you request in the contact form. For newborn photoshoots please book as soon as possible as dates do fill up. Let me know your due date and we will schedule for a date around that time, I aim to do newborn sessions within the first 2 weeks of baby being born. Once scheduled we will then move the date according to when your baby is born. I always leave time in my diary to move scheduled newborn sessions around.
Once a date is chosen, the deposit is required and then you are officially on the calendar for your session and we can start planning the fun details!
1. Say Hello
I am based in Woodland Hills. All newborn sessions are done in my Woodland Hills studio or in the comfort of your own home.
I have a huge range of newborn clothing, wraps, bonnets, headbands, props etc so I will take care of all of this so you can sit back and relax. If there are certain colors you would like to have included you can let me know and I will be sure to have this ready for your session. If you are also including sibling and family images in your newborn session I will help you with styling, so the overall look comes together beautifully.
2. planning it
It's photoshoot day! Let's have some fun!
When you arrive at the studio I will have everything ready and waiting and will gently guide you through the whole process. My sessions are baby lead, so it is relaxing and there is no rush at all. My photoshoots are always full of fun, love and laughter, and I will be sure to capture this beautiful time in your life!
3. YOUR SESSION
After your session I hand edit the best images and then upload to a private online gallery. Once your gallery is ready I will email you the online link and password for you to view in the comfort of your own home. From there you can choose the digital images you would like to have. You can also purchase prints and artwork directly from your online gallery. A really easy and simple process!
4. Your photographs

A newborn session will last anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. I will provide all of the clothing, wraps, hats, headbands and props for baby for your session.
All collections include digital images, with some also including print credit to use towards artwork. Artwork (prints etc) may also be purchased separately after your session.
The Investment Details
Our newborn session with Lauren was beyond-words-amazing. From the moment we got to the studio, she made us feel comfortable and took the time to get to know our baby girl. Lauren truly loves babies and is therefore patient with babies and new parents. Our one-week old was crying and fussy when she got to the studio, so Lauren let me feed her and put her to sleep before starting with the photo session. We never felt rushed. Once the photo session started, Lauren really worked her magic. She simply “gets” babies and was able to pose her and dress her without waking her. When our baby looked like she was about to wake up, Lauren would soothe her back to sleep and continue to work. It was all very organic and nothing was forced. She also has adorable baby clothes and props, so we didn’t feel stressed at the thought of having to prepare for the session in any way. It was truly a beautiful experience, and we highly recommend Lauren of Elsie Rose Photography for a magical newborn shoot!

We had a newborn photo shoot with our ten day old daughter and Lauren was beyond amazing! She is THE Baby Whisperer. The vibe was very calm and relaxed and our daughter just molded to Lauren’s touch. The poses and pictures are absolutely adorable, beautiful, and professional. And even when our daughter behaved slightly unprofessional (she had an “accident” on a sheet while being photographed), Lauren handled it so smoothly and didn’t make us feel badly or embarrassed. (Lauren just makes everyone feel sooo comfortable) My daughter didn’t cry and pretty much slept through the whole thing, and we got such fantastic photos that we’ll cherish always — this woman has a gift and I couldn’t recommend her more.

Lauren is a truly fantastic photographer who has done Holiday photos, pregnancy, Mother’s Day, birthday and cake smash photos for my family. She has a wonderfully relaxed studio which makes me, my husband and our 2 children feel at ease. She always manages to get great shots because of how relaxed the shoot is as well as her photography skills and my children love having photoshoots with her. My oldest child can be very serious but Lauren manages to get genuine smiles from him and all of us - no forced cheesy grins or awkward poses here! I’ll be going back to Lauren for as long as she’ll have us as the photos are some of my most cherished memories.
